Nick Stubbs — The Heart Behind Bramble Bunnies

My love of rabbits started when I was young and has stayed with me throughout my life. Over the years I’ve owned house rabbits of my own, and I’ve always been drawn to their gentle personalities, curiosity and charm. Combined with a lifelong love of the Peak District — especially the landscapes around Stanage Edge, Hathersage and Castleton — the world of Bramble Bunnies slowly began to take shape.

Bramble Bunnies was created during one of the hardest periods of my life. After struggling with severe mental health difficulties for a number of years, I needed something positive to focus my energy and creativity on. What began as a simple idea gradually grew into a world full of stories, adventures and characters that brought me comfort and purpose during some very difficult times.

The idea was also something incredibly special that I shared with my mum. We both dreamed of creating something magical together one day, inspired by the countryside and places we loved visiting in the Peak District. Sadly, she is no longer here to see it come to life, but Bramble Bunnies is my way of carrying that dream forward in her memory. Every story, character and adventure means something deeply personal to me, and I know she would have been incredibly proud to see our little world finally becoming real.

I wanted Bramble Bunnies to feel warm, comforting and full of imagination — something that hopefully brings a smile to people in the same way creating it has helped me.

A Secret Among the Hedgerows

Hidden deep within the rolling hills of the Peak District lies a place few have ever truly found — a quiet little village known as The Brambles.

Tucked between hedgerows and winding woodland paths, it is home to a secret community of gentle bunnies, living among cosy cottages, tiny shops, and softly glowing lanterns.

Some say it rests beyond Castleton, others believe it lies beneath Stanage Edge, or drifts quietly near the fields of Chatsworth.

But no one knows for certain.
Well… almost no one.

Three Burrows Beneath the Roots

In a quiet corner of The Brambles, three little burrows rest beneath tangled roots and whispering leaves — each one as unique as the bunny who lives within.

Benji’s burrow is filled with treasures from his many adventures — weathered surfboards, curious contraptions, and well-loved gear ready for the next journey beyond the hills.

Byron’s home is a place of wonder and wisdom, where maps line the walls and books are stacked high — every page, compass, and note guiding paths yet to be explored.

And in a cosy burrow nearby, Blossom’s room glows with gentle joy — soft music drifting through the air, ribbons and scarves neatly kept, and shining reminders of her love for dance.

The Adventure Begins

Though The Brambles is warm and safe, the three little bunnies feel the pull of something more.

With rucksacks packed and hearts full of courage, they follow hidden paths beyond the hills.

Back home, the others may worry… yet they wait eagerly for every tale they bring back. And with every journey, their world grows wider.
What began as small adventures soon carried them far beyond the familiar.

But Benji, Byron, and Blossom do not fear the unknown. For beyond The Brambles lies a vast and beautiful world… and their greatest adventure is only just beginning.

Until The Next Adventure

And so, Benji, Byron, and Blossom
return to The Brambles with muddy paws,
happy hearts, and stories to share.

Their friends gather close,
listening wide-eyed to tales of hidden paths,
faraway places, and wonders beyond the hills.

For every adventure brings a little more magic home.

And though this tale has reached its end,
the Bramble Bunnies’ journeys
are only just beginning.
